The Addigy Agent release originally planned for the week of January 20th, is being moved to the week of January 27.

Our goal is to ensure that you and your end users are prepared for this change which could lead to Privacy Preferences Policy Control (PPPC) pop-ups on Macs 10.14 and higher. Addigy is focused on testing this release over the next week  to ensure the least disruption possible for you and your users.

The PPPC prompt your end users may experience is detailed in this KB.

If you are not using Addigy MDM and need access to the Addigy Default PPPC Profiles to install, please see this KB. More information on using the Addigy Agent with a Third Party MDM Provider is here

Your end users running macOS 10.14 and 10.15 who have the Addigy agent installed should see no pop ups if:

  • Mac devices are currently enrolled in Addigy via Addigy MDM and have User Approved MDM applied (Learn more about User Approved MDM Here)

  • Mac devices are currently enrolled in Addigy via the Apple Automated Device Enrollment , formally Device Enrollment Program

  • Mac devices are enrolled in Addigy with another MDM provider AND you have deployed Addigy PPPC profiles in support of the Addigy Inc - [go-agent] Privacy Preferences v1 AND the enrollment profile is approved

Users in your environment running Macs on macOS 10.13 or earlier will see no prompts.

What's changing in this release?

  • The Addigy "Agent" profile will no longer be deployed to keep track if the Addigy Agent is installed. Machines already enrolled in Addigy before this change will have the “Agent” profile removed at the time the new agent is deployed.

  • Fix an issue where commands cancelled from the History section on the Devices page would not be cancelled on the targeted machines.
  • Fix an issue when an Administrator chooses "Remove and Erase Data" for macOS machines to delete the device from Addigy, the Addigy Agent would be removed from the device, but the MDM profiles would remain on the machine.

  • Fix an issue when an Administrator attempts to remove a macOS 10.15+ device from Addigy,  the machine would be removed from Addigy however neither the Addigy folder containing the Addigy agent files nor MDM would be removed from the device..

How do I know if my environment has been updated to Addigy Agent v0.02.014?

In the Devices list, add the "Agent Version" to your list. You will know your environment is running v0.02.014 when you see the following. The Agent Version will report 0.02.009 if your machines have not been upgraded.

Note: If your end-users click "Don't Allow" on the PPPC Prompt, please refer to this article:
